Love Stuart Stevens!

Democratic Party should hire him to show them how to deal with the Republican Party . This man knows how to fight! He’s the kind of strategist we Dems need right now.

Psychiatric Unit run Amok

Uncivilized behavior.

What Trump does and says is absolutely is psychotic, but most of the Republicans there are psychotic too. “out of touch with reality” lies or psychosis? A sure sign that a person is psychotic is that they destroy everything around them.

Thanks so very much. I always appreciate your honesty and try to watch/listen to your videos whenever they drop. I've been a Lincoln Project supporter since you guys started. While I'm registered D, I've never had a failure of imagination. More than anything, I'm stunned and heartbroken that my lifelong suspicions about the GOP have turned out to be true. I'm a small fish in this pond, but I'm gonna keep on swimming until we get rid of these sharks.

Republicans were given a choice to support issues that attract more voters to win or destroy our democracy and cheat to win. The chose the later.

Wow Mr. Stevens, powerful. I’ve only read one other consultant’s book about an admission of failure and take responsibility for the demolition of the Republican Party, Tim Miller. Tim has become one of my go-to podcasters to get honesty about Trump and maga Rs twisting and squandering of the GOPs legacy, as have you and Rick Wilson. Thank you for this; I’ll share it and get your book.

Thank you, Mr. Stevens--I do so appreciate you and your work with the Lincoln Project. What you are saying here is so important--most days lately I feel like I'm taking crazy pills when I contemplate where/how my beloved country is right now--but words like yours are an excellent antidote (We're right, they're wrong!). Also, I will just say--people who are emotionally healthy, decent, and try their best to do the right thing often have trouble imagining or anticipating how rabidly depraved another human can be, or how deeply a former colleague may devolve into cowardice and self-dealing, even if they've read all about such phenomena in the history books. But you/we are on to them now!

thank you, Stuart. I have read your book and I was shocked at how far back this poison goes. I was a lone voice in my family and to certain friends that Limbaugh was a middle-aged fat white man rabble rouser - nothing less. But it fell on deaf ears. Here we are now.

Love The Lincoln Project and Lincoln Square!

At least your eyes have been opened and your man enough to admit it. Thanks for trying to open others eyes & ears. I think Donald Trump became the Republican Party because of the Republican Party. Majority Republican politicians/party, SCOTUS are to blame for the failure of the USA.

Every cabinet member & advisor around DT is just as dangerous as DT & JD!! Miller, Theil, Musk, Roberts @ Heritage foundation (project 2025), Curtis Yarvin, Leonard Leo, etc etc!

The US & many state Republicans have joined this regime. They had a choice! This didn't just happen recently. It's been in the making for years!

It starts no later than 1968, so, yes, I do blame you.

David Corn of Mother Jones takes it back further and says the original sin was allowing McCarthy-ites (John Birchers) into the party without repudiating them:

https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2022/09/it-didnt-start-with-trump-the-decades-long-saga-of-how-the-gop-went-crazy/

I am willing to accept that McCarthy-ites were not the Republican core. However, in 1968 leadership accepted two things:

* institutionalization of the Southern Project

* treason at the Paris Peace Talks

Those two facts meant that leadership's core had become corrupt. Ronald Regan learned that lesson and interfered with the release of the Iranian hostages to gain the presidency and, in exchange, hocked his soul to them and ensnared himself in the Iran-Contra affair. George HW Bush was at its heart and pardoned everyone who could implicate him.

Following Bush the Elder, Newt Gingrich became speaker and codified the cannon that Democrats had no right to access any governmental power (K Street Project, Whitewatergate investigations leading to impeachment for a sexual peccadillo.

From that day on, Republican leadership became 100% responsible for the direction of the party. People with any integrity left or did not join. The KGB / FSB / Vladimir Putin noticed this direction and redoubled their efforts to subvert it, via the NRA and other channels. Republican leadership is now fully in bed with Vladimir Putin. Tulsi Gabbard is not an anomaly.

Yes, you are responsible.
