My college years were 1967-1971. I would have loved to have had classes and discussions with a professor like you who can so succinctly break down the state of our present politics and lived experience. I also saw Congressman Thompson interview and quietly humiliate Mr. Glasheen, and I thought the essence and delivery of Bennie’s last comment was delicious.

I know who antifa is - I am.. I'm a 77 year old white woman who grabs her sign, her cane and goes to every protest that she can. The older retirees that populate the protests (and the ones that people laugh about) are antifa. We were raised in an era that remembers WW2 and how much we lost fighting fascist in that battle. It's the outlet that I have to show my disgust at what is going on in the cities of my country. I tried writing to my Congressman, daily, to voice my concern, but gave up after a few months, as he is a supporter of the President. This is why the Trump folks are sent out with their anifa talking points, because they want to stop us, but can't come up with a plan on how to do it. I'll continue to go out with my signs and protest because I want the world to know that I am against what I see this government doing and this is all I have.
